When it comes to health and fitness, I believe in sustainability over all else! Sure, there are great "12-week programs, 1-month challenges, 90-day transformations", but by the end of the day, when you finish that, what's next? Another 12-week program? When working with clients, I like to build from the ground up. Instead of handing you a meal plan, I teach you how to build your own.
I started in fitness as a means to talk to people. During my weight loss journey, I did not workout like I should and noticed that my butt turned into a pancake. During Covid, I lost my job and as an extrovert stuck in the house, this was a recipe or disaster. I joined the gym nearby as a means to be around people even though the virus was still actively infecting people. However, I found a new love for fitness. I didn't realize that there were many ways to have fitness and make it fun! I am known to try a lot of things and encourage people to find their "jam" so that it keeps them fit! Name it and I may have tried it or it's on my to-do list. So let's see how I can get you started on your journey!
MovinEssence brings together two important ideas in its business description. The word "Movin" is a casual way of saying moving, which highlights action, energy, and physical activity—key elements of the dance fitness side of the business. The term "Essence" comes from the Latin word "essentia," meaning the basic nature or essential quality of something. Here, it suggests that the core of fitness is about expressing your true self through movement, whether through dance or strength exercises. Together, "MovinEssence" represents a complete approach to fitness that emphasizes both physical activity and personal expression. MovinEssence was birthed out of the desire to help people design fitness around their interests and promoting variability. Fitness isn't one size fits all. The approach is multi-faceted and there is something for everyone. Let's find the right program for you.
